Sherry Helton Mcelveen

Sherry Helton McElveen, 64, of Gastonia passed away February 13, 2014 at the Robin Johnson House, Dallas. She was born May 1, 1949 in Gaston County, daughter of the late James Alfred and Cleo Paxton Helton. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, February 17 at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Jerry Millwood. The family will receive friends from 6:00 -8:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Hillcrest Gardens, Mt. Holly. Mrs. McElveen is survived by: her sons, Johnny James Williams, Michael George Williams, Jeffrey Darrell Williams; brother, Jimmy Helton; sister, JoAnn Correll; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: her husband, Claude L. McElveen; sister, Sandy Scott.
