Sherry Howard Haney

Gastonia, NC- Sherry Howard Haney 1955 - 2014 Sherry Howard Haney, 59, of Gastonia, passed away Friday, August 15, 2014 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. A Gaston County native, she was born April 24, 1955 daughter of the late Oscar Haynes Howard and Oma Martha Anne Wooten Howard. She was employed with Amp Inc./Tyco in Rock Hill for almost 30 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Maybelle Welch, Linda Howard, Sue Hicks, and Virginia Welch. Sherry is survived by her children, Melody Haney of Gastonia, J.T. Haney and wife Latosha of Gastonia; brothers, Kenneth and Wayne Howard of NC; sisters, Ruby Cox of MI, BettyMartin of GA, Debra Callahan of NC, Wanda Bolding of NC, Lucille Lawson of GA, and Gail Spencer of NC; grandchildren, Chloe Haney of Lincolnton, Tyson Haney of Gastonia, and Kayleigh Haney of Gastonia. A funeral service, officiated by Rev. James Mason, will be held 11am Wednesday, August 20 at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 South York Rd., Gastonia. The family will receive friends from 6pm till 8pm on Tuesday, August 19, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
