Sherland Pace Poteat, 74, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016 at her residence. She was born January 25, 1942 in Rutherford County NC and was the daughter of Virginia Laws Churchwell.

A funeral service will be held 3 pm Monday at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium 1503 S York Rd. Gastonia, with ministers Donnie McGhee and Adam McGhee officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
