Sharon Lynne "Sherry" Thorne

Sharon Lynne" Sherry" Thorne, 57, of Gastonia, passed away March 15, 2015 at her residence. She was born August 15, 1957 a native of Gaston County, daughter of Lynne Webb and the late James Meadows. Along with her mother, Sharon is survived by son, Chris Basco of Mustang, OK; brother, Rick Simmons of Moorefield, WV; sisters, Lori Samson of CT and Wendy Depperschmidt of Red Oak, TX and grandchildren, Makayla, Savannah and Aden Basco. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Light. A memorial service will be held 7 pm Wednesday at Trinity Baptist Church, 304 W. Indiana Avenue, Bessemer City, officiated by the Revs. Eric Ross and Dickie Hannah. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 7:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
