Scotty Ray Moore

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Scotty Ray Moore, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, who left us on November 4, 2025, at the age of 49. Scotty was born on June 22, 1976, in Haywood County, North Carolina and made Gastonia his home, where he created a life full of laughter and love.

Scotty was a talented foreman in the HVAC industry, known for his hard work and dedication. But beyond his profession, he was a family man at heart. He cherished his time with his mother, Edna Rose, often pulling pranks just to hear her laugh. His playful spirit and sense of humor will be missed immensely.

He was a proud father to his four wonderful children, Sebastian, Keely, Philip, and Gabriel Moore, and his love for them knew no bounds. Scotty is also survived by his grandson, Joziah Williams; parents, Edna and Robert Rose; sister, Crystal Gwinn; brother, Billy Moore; numerous nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Scotty enjoyed spending time outdoors-hunting and fishing were among his favorite pastimes. He had a special way of connecting with nature and nurturing those moments into cherished memories.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Greene Funeral Service - West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia. Family and friends are welcomed to come together to celebrate Scotty's life, share stories, and support one another in this difficult time.

Scotty Ray Moore will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his infectious laughter and the joy he brought to everyone around him. Rest in peace, Scotty.
