Scott Dwayne Waddell

May 26, 1962 — February 20, 2023

Scott Dwayne Waddell, 60, of Cherryville, NC, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023, at his residence. He was born May 26, 1962 in Gaston

County. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Louise Waddell, sister Dana Waddell, and brothers, Randy and Steve Waddell.

Scott was always ready for mischief and adventure but never got loud or raised his voice about anything. He loved to listen to Elvis singing "The Ghetto" and "Wild Fire Woman" by Bad Company, amongst many other oldies but goodies that he could sing word for word. He always had to be busy, never stopping, always on the go. Scott was a very patient man and loved to feed people. He literally was famous for his chili beans but loved to cook anything. He had a very generous soul and was always quick to give everyone the benefit of the doubt regardless of the situation. He loved to joke around and really loved to sing. He will be missed as a father, a grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend.

Survivors include his 3 children; daughter Jessica Waddell of Dallas, daughter Emily Hensley and husband Curtis of Myrtle Beach, SC, and son Austin Waddell of Dallas, granddaughter Payton Waddell, brother Alan Waddell and wife Sandy of Mt Holly, and Terry Waddell and wife Susan of Dallas, along with many nieces and nephews.
