Sarah Ruth Whitt

Sarah Ruth Whitt, 73, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Rome, GA, on November 15, 1950, to the late Dave and Mary Elizabeth Foshee.

Sarah loved her dog Tabby. She enjoyed watching television, especially cartoons. Tweety Bird was her favorite. Gospel music was also a favorite of hers.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Roger Lee Whitt, and all of her siblings.

Sarah is survived by her sons, Arthur Junior Pettry, Arthur James Pettry (Connie), Roger Wayne Pettry; grandchildren, six including, Johnny Pettry, Robbie Pettry, Lacey Pettry, Mikel Ward; three great-grandchildren; fur baby, Tabby.

All services are private.
