Sarah Catherine Crisp

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sarah Catherine Crisp, who left us on September 14, 2026. Born on February 22, 1974, in Gastonia, NC, Sarah was known to many as a kind soul with the biggest heart. She lived her life with an unmatched passion for helping others, and her spirit will be sorely missed.

Sarah was a devoted mother and cherished her relationships with her nieces and nephews. Family meant everything to her, and she always made sure to show her love and support to those around her.

Sarah is survived by her son, R.J. Ross; daughter, Zaria Crisp; mother, Ethel Austin Mayhue; brother, Ike Reid Crisp Jr. (Kristie) sister, Victoria Crisp Mills (Steve Sr.); nieces and nephews, Ashleigh Flynn (Craig), Katie Mills, Amanda Cunningham, Steven Mills Jr., Shadrack Mills, and Crispin Mills; great-nieces and nephews, Evie Flynn, Aiden Brown, Oliver Brown, and Bjorn Brown, Cyrus McFee, Mia and Alice Mills. Each of them carries fond memories of her unwavering love and strength.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ike Reid Crisp Sr.
