Sarah Maney Benton

Sarah Maney Benton, 73, of Dallas, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016, at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.

She was born February 7, 1943, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Guy Roosevelt Maney and Geneva Garland Maney.

Sarah loved her family and her dogs, Maxie, Marcie, and Mickey. She was a native of Gaston County and attended Mount View Freewill Baptist Church in Dallas.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Kathy Wood and husband, Dale, Sharon Burtrum and husband, Randy, Karen Heath and companion, Dennis Jungles, Diane Sanders and companion, Robbie Kirkpatrick; brother, James Maney; sisters, Catherine Watts, Brenda Chandler; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 11am on Tuesday at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service. Curtis Leach will be officiating.

The family will receive friends 6-7:30pm on Monday at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at Westview Gardens Cemetery in Bessemer City.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
