Sara Maria Koen

Sara Maria Koen, 47, of Rutherfordton, passed away July 6, 2014 at Kindred Hospital, Greensboro, NC. She was born December 1, 1966 in St. Louis, Missouri, daughter of Gladys and Chester Talley, Sr. She was employed with Holy Angels in Belmont. In addition to her parents, she is survived by: brother, Chester Lee Talley, Jr. and wife, Kimberly; sister, Nila Elena Marshall and husband Terry, sister, Sophia Griffin; nieces, Jessica, Kimberly and Adriana; nephew, Cody; great-nephew, Zane and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Sarita was preceded in death by her sister Vivian Fortenberry and her grandmother, Elita Koen. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Andy Cilone. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
