Sandra "Sandy" Walker Coleman

Sandra "Sandy" Walker Coleman, 80, of Kings Mountain, passed away July 24, 2024, at the Rutherford County Hospice House in Forest City.

She was born May 27, 1944, in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late James Albert Walker and Annie Mae Horton Walker.

Sandy was a member of One Accord Independent Baptist Church in Gastonia, where she loved to sing and praise her Lord.

She loved her family and deeply devoted herself to each of them.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Greene Funeral Service -West Chapel 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Arthur Beck.

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at the funeral home.

The burial will be at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.

Sandy is survived by son, George "Gator" Edward Coleman Jr. (Maggie Marshburn); brothers, Keith Walker, Jerry Walker (Shirley); grandchildren, Colby Coleman, Kenny Jerome Maney (Crystal), Shawna Gray; great-grandchildren, Caiden Gray, Ethan Gray, Zeric Maney, Kyler Maney.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Coleman Sr.; sons, Kenny Maney, Scotty Maney; grandson, Trevor Coleman; brother Terry Walker; sister, Linda Beck.
