Sandra Kay Hamrick

Sandra Kay Hamrick, 68, of Peak Resources, Cherryville, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014. A native of Hall County, GA, she was born May 11, 1946, daughter of the late J.D. and Nell Cavender McKinney. She was a member of Sparrow Springs Baptist Church in Gastonia and attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cherryville. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hamrick was preceded in death by her sister, Elaine McKinney Meza. She is survived by her husband, Joe Albert Hamrick of Cherryville; stepson, David Hamrick of Denver, NC; daughters, Kelly Anglin of Fayetteville, Cynthia Fredell Willis of Cherryville, Tammy Michelle Webb ,Tina Darlene Webb both of Arlington, Texas; brother, Bradley McKinney of Georgia; friends, Luther Bowman Sr. and Jerry Brooks; and eight grandchildren. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Jerry Brooks and Rev. Roy Clark, will be held 3 pm Tuesday, July 8 at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Cherryville Cemetery. Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
