Samuel Buell "Sonny" Haynie Iii

Samuel Buell "Sonny" Haynie III, 49, of Gastonia went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 19, 2013. He passed away at his home surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer. He was born November 9, 1963 in Gaston County son of the late Samuel Buell Haynie, II and Linda Barnette Haynie. A service of remembrance will be held 6:30 pm Tuesday at Maranatha Baptist Church, Dallas officiated by Pastor Chris Doster. The family will receive friends from 5:00 -6:30 pm Tuesday at the church. Interment will be private. He was a loving husband, father and devoted "Paw-Paw". He enjoyed the fair and travelling to Charleston to visit his special cousin Mike. Sonny attended Maranatha Baptist Church in Dallas. The family wants to express a very special thank you to Hospice. Mr. Haynie is survived by: his wife of 31 years Kim Haynie; daughter, Sabrina Anderson and husband Phillip; son, Sam Buice and wife Jamie; grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Austin and Nathan Anderson, Austin and Breanna Wall; brothers, Jerry, Brian, and Jimmy Haynie; sister in laws, Debbie and Sube Haynie; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by: his brothers, Stoney and Steven Haynie; sister in law, Nancy Haynie. Memorials may be sent to Gaston Hospice, P. O. Box 3984 Gastonia, NC 28054.
