Samantha Kay Thomas

Samantha Kay Thomas, 33, passed away tragically, August 24, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born August 13, 1982 a native of Gaston County, the daughter of Clyde Mitchell Burgess and Barbara Aiken. Samantha was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Gastonia. She was studying to be a dietary nutritionist at Gaston College and was the owner and operator of Real Clean Solutions of Kings Mountain. Left to cherish her memories along with her parents are her husband Cornell Thomas; children, Cody and Shane Burton, Ethan Sutton, Gerald Butler, Makayla Ozell Thomas and Cornell Dwayne Thomas, Jr.; grandmothers, Kay Bell and Brinnie Newman; grandfather, Jimmy Bell; aunt, Laura McGugan and numerous, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Elijah Dean Thomas; great aunt, Vicky Boone and first cousin, Donna Garrett. A memorial service will be held 2:30 pm Saturday at Temple Baptist Church, Gastonia, officiated by Pastors Scott Whitener and Bernardo Porter. The family will receive friends 1 - 2:30 pm prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church - 701 Littlejohn Street, Gastonia, NC 28052. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
