Sally Jane Vernon

Sally Vernon, 77, of Dallas, NC, passed away December 8, 2024, at her daughter and son-in-law's home in Gastonia, NC.

She was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, on August 14, 1947, to the late Bill and Jenny Dunham.

Sally was a member, for over 20 years, of Promised Land Ministries. She was a blessing to everyone she encountered. If Sally knew you, then she considered you a part of her family.

In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas William Dunham.

Sally is survived by her husband, James Vernon; daughter, Angela Snead and husband Michael; first husband, Rev. Ben Smith and wife Jeannette; sister, Lois Snyder; granddaughter, Emma Michelle Snead; and several nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Sally's life will be held at 5:00 pm on Sunday, December 15, 2024, officiated by Rev. Ben Smith, at a City Set on a Hill Church, 1299 W. Franklin Blvd., Gastonia, NC. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.
