Sally Mae Guffey Green

Sally Mae Guffey Green, 85, passed away December 2, 2018 at NHC.
She was born December 15, 1932 in Macon County, NC, the daughter of the late John Harrison Guffey and Jessie Mae Rickman Guffey.
Sally retired from Sears Credit Services in Charlotte after 35 years of service. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Sally was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Green; sister, Gertrude Norkett; brothers, Fred, Frank, George, James, Verlin and John Guffey.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Dawn Haynes (Chris) of Anniston, AL and Beverly Forsee of Perry, GA; grandchildren, Michael Forsee (Jess) of AZ, Christopher Haynes (Lindsey) of LA, Jessica Forsee of GA, and David Forsee of MI; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 1 pm Friday, December 7, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel with Pastor Sam Barnette officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
