Sadie Mae Evans

Sadie Mae Evans, 92, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center.

She was born May 17, 1929 in Polk Co, GA, daughter to the late Fern Jeanette Poarch.

Sadie was a Christian and loved the Lord. She loved her family and was blessed to see 5 generations.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Cain Evans; several brothers and sisters; daughter, Kathie Summey; and granddaughters, Nicole Walker and Dawn Owens.

She is survived by her daughter, Lesa Johnson and husband Richard; grandchildren, Jayme McDaniel, Tammy McDaniel, Jennifer Moody, and Jessica Crisp; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Services are to be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
