Ruth Rowland Revels

Ruth Rowland Revels, 84, of Cherryville, passed away October 22, 2020 at her home.

She was born in Cherokee County, NC on December 29, 1935 to the late Andrew Jefferson Rowland and Bertha Bradshaw Rowland.

Ruth enjoyed baking for her friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Short" Revels; two brothers, Frank Rowland and A.J. Rowland; and two sisters, Mildred Helms and Kellie.

Ruth is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Revels and wife Myra, and Lee Revels and wife Melissa; two daughters, Pam Revels and Sonna Revels; a sister, Lois Hall; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC.

A graveside service, officiated by Rev. Johnny Yarboro, will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, NC.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
