Ruth "Libby" Olivia Creasman

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Ruth "Libby" Olivia Creasman, who left us peacefully on July 30, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on September 26, 1938, in Gaston County, NC, Libby spent her life bringing joy and warmth to everyone she met.

Libby was a dedicated Quality Inspector at AMP for many years, where her keen eye for detail was unmatched. More than her career, she was known for her incredible talents in the kitchen, especially her masterful biscuit-making-which always brought smiles to family gatherings and church potlucks.

A loving mother, she is survived by her son, Benjie Creasman, and her daughters, Nita McFee (Ronnie) and Quita Vellers; grandchildren, Chris McSwain (Rebecca), Neil McSwain (Kyrie), Samantha Gonzalez, Tabitha Gonzalez, Jeremy Helms (Melody), Callie Smith (Cody), Kayla Creasman, and Austin Butler; 11 great-grandchildren; special caregiver, Carolyn Huffman.

Libby was preceded in death by husband, Benny Creasman; parents, Frank Grant, Elsie Smith; daughters, Rhonda Phifer and Nena Gonzalez; sisters, Mary Lou Setzer and Brenda Rice; grandson, Josh Phifer; granddaughter, Logan Vellers; son-in-law, Joe Vellers.

Libby was a vibrant member of the Independent Baptist Tabernacle, where she found community and friendship. Libby had a passion for crocheting, often sharing her creations with loved ones and those in need. Her kindness and generosity will be missed by many.

The family invites you to join them in celebrating Libby's life. Visitation will be held at the Independent Baptist Tabernacle 2128 Dallas Cherryville Hwy, Dallas, NC 28034, on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. She will then be laid to rest at the church cemetery.

In the spirit of Libby's love for family and community, we encourage everyone to come together to share stories and memories of the remarkable woman she was.
