Ruth Lovelace Guiton

Ruth Lovelace Guiton, 86, of Kings Mountain, passed away on January 13, 2020, at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain.
She was born August 3, 1933, in Cleveland County, daughter of the late David and Minnie Lovelace.
Mrs. Guiton was a member of Love Valley Baptist Church in Kings Mountain.
She was a song writer and she loved to sing.
She enjoyed walking and being outdoors.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, January 16, 2019, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Barry Philbeck.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at New Camp Creek Baptist  Church Cemetery in Kings Mountain.
Mrs. Guiton is survived by son, Dennis Philbeck of Grover; stepson, James Donald Guiton of Kings Mountain; daughter, Doris Philbeck Wilson and husband James of Kings Mountain; brothers, James and Fred Lovelace; sisters, Julie Oliver, Bertha Truelove; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. John "Bill "Calvin Guiton.
