Ruth Mitchell Adams, 85, of Charlotte, passed away October 8, 2017 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.
She was born April 28, 1932 in York County, SC, the daughter of the late Ed and Mary Gordon Mitchell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Elizabeth Mitchell, Dora Norris, Mary Carter, and Pearl Gilmore.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Jerry Daniel Adams; sons, Jeffrey Todd Adams, Dale Gordon Adams and wife Jennifer; sister, Ellen Brooks; and grandchildren, Dalton and Mason.
A funeral service, officiated by Dr. Gerald Bearden, will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery, Charlotte.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Robin Johnson House c/o Gaston Hospice, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
