Ruby Rose Wells

Ruby Rose Wells, 91, of Lyman, SC, passed away March 21, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

She was born July 15, 1924 in Chester, SC, the daughter of the late Melvin and Bertha Davis.

Ruby was a member of Mtn. View Baptist Church, Maiden, NC.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons Randall Marvin Wells and wife Vicky of Raleigh, NC and Jerry Wayne Wells and wife Lilija of Murrells Inlet, SC; daughters Teresa Wells Holbrooks and husband Tommy of Lyman, SC and Denise Wells Hamrick and husband Raymond of Newton, NC; grandchildren, Chip Holbrooks, Scott Holbrooks, Veronica Johnson, Lori Milholland, Stephanie Van Wells, Kristen Peeler, Mark Wells and 21 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Olin Wells; brothers Prentiss Davis and Harvey Davis and sister Pearl Mace.

A funeral service will be held 3 pm Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service- South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Revs. Thomas Holbrooks and Raymond Hamrick.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 2:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
