Ruby Mae Black

Dallas, NC - Ruby Mae Black, 95, of Dallas, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014, at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born, January 4, 1919 in Lincolnton, daughter of the late, Earl and Ethel Mae Keever. Ruby was a member of Alexis Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Alexis Baptist Church, 118 Alexis Church Rd, Alexis NC 28006, officiated by, Pastor Dr. Sandy Marks and Pastor Rob Kaylor. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Ruby is survived by: her husband, Johnnie Black of the home; son, Larry Black and wife, Myra of Dallas; daughter, Frances Walters and husband, Kenneth of Dallas; grandchildren, Jessica Levin, Jennifer Crawford, Jana Kaylor, Kenny Walters, Kristy Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Bode Levin, Abby Kai Levin, Lydia Hope Crawford, Gracie Faith Kaylor, Klara Jenkins, Keyton Jenkins and Levi Walters. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Hillard Keever.
