Ruby Parnell Bentley

Ruby Parnell Bentley, 95, of Dallas, passed away October 22, 2018 at Testa Family Hospice in Kings Mountain.
She was born March 28, 1923 in Mitchell County, the daughter of the late McCoy "Coy" Stamey and Elizabeth Carpenter.
Ruby was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Gastonia.
She is survived by her children, Linda Cloninger and William Parnell; 4 siblings; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Woodrow Bentley; daughter, Patricia Fowler and 13 siblings.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Darin Gibbs.
The family will receive friends 1 – 2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be private.
