Roy Edward Harrison, Jr.

Roy Edward Harrison, Jr., of Blacksburg, SC, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024, at White Oak Manor in York, SC.

He was born in Gaston County, NC, on December 16, 1956, to the late Roy Edward Harrison, Sr., and Sarah Ann Bell.

Roy was a member of Sharon Free Will Baptist Church in Gastonia, NC.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Sarah Asbury.

Roy is survived by his brothers, Roger Asbury (April), Rick Asbury (Dawn), Kenny Asbury; sisters, Esper Wilkins (Gerald), Audrey Tarbush (Jimmy), Sybil McDowell; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Odell Cook, will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2024, 3:00 pm, at Sharon Free Will Baptist Church, 410 Reese St., Gastonia, NC.  The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 pm prior to the funeral service at the church. A burial will follow in the church cemetery.
