Rosemary Cabe

Rosemary Cabe, 91, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away May 10, 2024, at her residence.

She was born on August 19, 1932, in Hanging Dog, NC, close to Murphy, to the late Mont and Madge Beaver.

Rosemary was a founding member of Evangel Assembly of God in Gastonia, NC, where she taught children's church for many years. She worked at Threads Textiles for years and also for a company that made kids' clothing. She also worked as a social worker. She was an elementary school teacher at Central Elementary, Baptist Tabernacle, Evangel Assembly and First Assembly Christian Academy. One of her favorite aunts, Aunt Vey, was also one of her school teachers.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William Albert Cabe; brother, Ronnie Beaver; sisters, Trula Ball, Reba Barnes, Peggy Wallace, Jean Crumpton, Jane Beaver; daughter in law, Victoria Cabe.

Rosemary is survived by her sons, Thomas Cabe, Roger Cabe; brothers, Raymond Beaver, Tom Beaver, Max Beaver, John Beaver, Karl Beaver, Ken Beaver; grandchildren, Preston Cabe, Victor Cabe, Vanessa Carmody; great-grandchildren, Cayla Carmody, Valarie Carmody, Sienna Cabe.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Rufus Johnson will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, 2:00 PM, at Evangel Assembly of God, 625 Neal Hawkins Road, Gastonia, NC 28054. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 Pm at the church prior to the service. A burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
