Ronald "Demp" Waters, 65, of Lowell, passed away October 24, 2017 at home.
He was born July 23, 1952 in Gaston County, the son of the late Carl and Mildred Waters.
Ronald was a member of Ranlo Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Judy Waters; sons Jimmy Hale of Ranlo, Bruce Hale (Christine) of Lowell; daughters Sherry McAlister of Ranlo, Tammy Walls (Randy) of Ranlo; brothers, Carl Waters, Jr. (Kay), Jabo Waters (Karen); sister, Darlene Campbell (Kenneth); grandchildren, Ronnie Hale, Erika Billings, Jessica Hale, Brittany Hale, Tim Tanner, Wayne Tanner, Jennifer Walker, Whitney McAlister, Sarah Hale, Tammy Hale, Courtney Hale and Bruce Hale, Jr. and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Hale; sisters Sue Stevens and Libby Waters.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 28, at 2:00 p.m. at Ranlo Freewill Baptist Church, 6 Burke Avenue, Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Jeremy Carson.
