Clover, SC - Ronald "Pops" Williams, age 77, of Clover, South Carolina, and formerly of Lewistown, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Agape Hospice House in Rock Hill, S.C. He was born December 17, 1936 in Springfield, Massachusetts, a son of the late Charles and Elsie Williams. His first wife also preceded Ron in death, Isabel Annie (Maxwell) Williams September 7, 1991; his second wife, Jennifer Sue (Lehew) Harris November 6, 2012; a brother, Jim Williams, and a sister, Beatrice Bell. Ron is survived by his wife, Betty (Mills) Williams; a son, Charles L. Williams of Lewistown, Ohio; a daughter, Rene Williams of Jackson Center, Ohio; step-children, Opal Williams of Cherryville, North Carolina, Mike Coxey and Steve Coxey, both of Clover, S.C.; ten grandchildren; three great grandsons and a nephew, Dave Bell. Ron was a 1954 graduate of Huntsville High School in Huntsville, Ohio and was a United States Air Force Veteran serving as a radar technician. He was a manufacturing service technician. Ron enjoyed riding motorcycles, dancing, his pet dogs, working on his property, and was a practical joker. Ron was a member and Past Master of the Belle Center, Ohio Free and Accepted Masonic Lodge, a member of the Valley of Dayton Scottish Rite, Antioch Shrine in Dayton, Ohio, Antioch Shrine Funster Clown Unit and the Royal Order of Jester's Court #10 in Dayton. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 3 pm at the Williams' residence in Clover, S.C.
