Ronald Mccarthy

Ronald Steven McCarthy, 72, was a decorated combat veteran of the Vietnam War. He served with the United States Marine Corps during 1969 and 1970.

Mr. McCarthy was president and owner of RS&M Appraisal Services, Inc of Lincolnton, NC.

He is survived by his sons, Stephen (Amy) and Mark McCarthy; daughter, Tina West (Jimmy); grandchildren; Trevor McCarthy, Averie McCarthy, Korben Scott, Ayden McCarthy, Elijah Rhyne, Seth West, and Taylor West; sisters, Susan Kiser (Phil), Kathy McRee (Richard), Dr. Amy Sifford; brother, Rev. Jeff McCarthy (Ilene); special aunt, Juanita "Toby" Greene; adopted family, Jessica Nonley, Autumn, and Jaxon Queen.

Mr. McCarthy was preceded in death by his father, James F. McCarthy, Sr.; mother, Thelma Bolding McCarthy; and brother, James F. McCarthy, Jr.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, 4109 Guess Rd, Durham, Nc 27712.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at First Assembly of God - 777 S Myrtle School Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm the day of the service.
