Ronald Gene Lemke, 63, of Dallas, NC, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

Ronald was born on June 27, 1958, in Creighton, Nebraska to Dale and Selma Lemke.

He grew up there working on the family's dairy farm.

Mr. Lemke served his country as a member U.S. Navy, and was later employed by Navistar International in Dallas, Texas for 25 years.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Selma Lemke of Creighton, Nebraska.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Valleri Lemke; three sisters, Julie Hart (Mark), Karen Radebaugh (Barry), Jan Novachek (Alan); 1 brother, Roger Lemke (Kim); and many nieces and nephews; uncle and aunt, Lyle and Linda Kruse.

Ron and Valleri were members of Messiah Lutheran Church in Charlotte, N.C.

A drop in visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2022, in the fellowship hall of Flint Groves Baptist Church, 2017 E. Ozark Ave., Gastonia, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Christ Lutheran Church in Bazile Mills, Nebraska, with burial in the Lemke family plot.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, Attn: Prison Ministry, 8300 Providence Rd., Charlotte, NC 28277, or Flint Groves Baptist Church, Attn: Alan Main Community Center Fund, 2017 E. Ozark Ave., Gastonia, NC 28054.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
