Ronald Helton

Ronald Perry Helton, 74, of Bessemer City, NC, passed away, Monday, May 10, 2021 at his residence.

He was born August 2, 1946 in Gaston Co, NC, son of the late Dewey Helton and Venise Lowe Helton.

Ronald was a Church of God minister for many years. He loved to sing, play the piano for the Lord and visit the mountains.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Helton; son, Rodney Helton; twin brother, Donald Helton; brothers, Garland, Harold, Frank and John Helton; and sister, Jean Enloe.

He is survived by his daughter, Leslie Eaves (David); sisters, Gwen Ellington and Patricia Brown; grandchildren, David Eaves, Breanna Eaves and Gracie Eaves; and great-grandchild, Lilly Kelly.

A graveside service, officiated by Pastor Bobby Gilley will be held 2pm on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
