Ronald "Ray" Heavner

Ronald "Ray" Heavner, 53, passed away April 17, 2022, at his residence, Gastonia, NC.

A native of Gaston Co, was born February 9, 1969, to the late Jack Dennis and Margie Sue Holiday Heavner.

Ray had grown up in Cramerton, NC, loved the Dallas Cowboys, and the Carolina Panthers. He was also a Tarheel Fan. Ray was employed with PC Jackson Plumbing, Charlotte, NC for 30 plus years. He enjoyed wood working, fishing, and was a very forgiving and loving man. He was well loved by all, and everyone wanted to be him. Ray was the best big brother to his siblings.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger, Tommy, and Jackie Heavner.

Ray is survived by his wife, Angela Heavner; son, Devin Heavner; brother, Mark Heavner (Theresa); twin sister, Renee Kennedy (Terry); sisters, Janice Weathers (Rudy), and Brenda Costner; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dogs, Bailey and Sophie.

A funeral service officiated by Rev. Dustin Prince, will be held 2pm on Thursday. April 21, 2022, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 South York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be held at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, NC.
