Ronald Truman Duncan, Sr.

Ronald "Dunk" Truman Duncan Sr., 59, of Gastonia, passed away July 24, 2017 at his residence.  He was born October 27, 1957, a native of Gaston County, the son of the late Roy Truman Duncan, Jr. and Brenda Revels Reeves.

Dunk was a member of Providence Place Church of Gastonia.  He was an avid wood carver and loved to fish.  He also served in the United States Army.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 41 ½ years, Terry Gail Duncan; daughter, Crystal Duncan Hunsucker and husband Robby of Iron Station; son, Pastor Ronald Truman Duncan, Jr. and wife Amber Stroupe Duncan of Gastonia; grandchildren, Jennifer and Duncan Clemmer, Preston and Adia Duncan; brothers, Donald Reeves and wife, Judy of Gastonia, James Reeves and Megan of Douglasville, GA; sister, Belinda Parker; aunt, Zudie Miller; mother-in-law, Betty H. Ward; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Harold Reeves.

A funeral service will be held 7 pm Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Providence Place Church.

The family will receive friends 5 - 7 pm Thursday at the church.
