Ronald Michael Bennett

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Michael Bennett "Bubba", born on July 24, 1984, in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Mikey left us unexpectedly on September 16, 2026, at the age of 42, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Michael, known as Bubba to his family and Mikey to his friends, was a devoted father to his beloved son, Alex "Little Bubba." Together, they shared a special bond that was defined by laughter, adventure, and the warmth of countless campfire evenings spent under the stars. Mikey's love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for the mountains, camping, and fishing-activities that allowed him to create lasting memories with Alex. He found joy not only in the serenity of nature but also in the beauty of his home and yard, where he loved to garden and ensure that his surroundings were as vibrant as his spirit. Mikey had a true appreciation for old classic cars.

Mikey is survived by loving his parents, Penny and Mike Goddard of Clover; beloved son, Alex Bennett; brothers, Nathan Bryson of Mint Hill and Michael Goddard of Mount Holly; grandmothers, Joan McCluney of Gastonia and Connie Mountain of Clover; aunts, Cheryl Strube of Concord, Ellen Deal of Clover, Tammy Swanger of Clover, Melissa Clark of Oldsmar, FL; numerous special cousins; father, Ronnie Bennett of Clover.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Tom McCluney, Richard Wallace, Kathy and Derl Goddard.

In honor of Mikey's life, a visitation will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2026 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S York Rd Gastonia, NC 28052.
