Ronald Robert Antalik

Ronald Robert Antalik, 76, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

He was born October 26, 1945, in Bridgeport, CT, son of the late Andrew Leo Antalik and Mary Posh Antalik.

Everyone knew Ron as "Mr. Fish". He worked on the Blackhawk fishing boat and loved fishing more than anything other than his family. Ron was a US Navy Vietnam Veteran. He could build anything and was a very talented wood worker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew "Rusty" Antalik; and sister, Carol "Cookie" Aliberti.

Ron is survived by his daughter, April McVay; son, Brian Antalik (Heather); brother, Richard "Dickie" Antalik (Wallene); grandchildren, Nicolette "Nikki" Aldridge, Gillian Antalik, Daisy Antalik, and Freedom Antalik; and great-grandchildren, Mason, Aleena, and Graceson.

A private family gathering will be held in Connecticut.
