Roger Creed Woody, 69, of Gastonia, passed away on February 27, 2018, at his home.
He was born September 8, 1948, in Gaston County, son of the late Virgil Woody and Essie Mae Upton Woody.
The family would like to give special thanks to Gaston County Hospice for their loving care they provided to Mr. Woody.
A funeral service will be held 1:00pm Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Jerry Millwood.
The family will receive friends Noon-1:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
Mr. Woody is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Doris Woody; sons, Roger E. Woody, Timothy Woody, Richard Toney; daughter, Tonia Toney; grandchildren, Miranda Ewart, Michael Ewart, Tristen Woody.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Buddy, Albert and Leonard Woody; sisters, Shirley Bolton, Gayle Woody, Kay Childress; fur babies, Zoey and Misty.
Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
