Roger Whitt

Roger Whitt, 75, of Gastonia, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

He was born on November 5, 1945 in Mingo County, WV.

Roger loved to go hunting and fishing, especially with his sons. He enjoyed working with Hunter Douglas. He will be remembered as someone who loved to joke and laugh.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his brothers, Arlee Whitt and Claude Whitt.

Left to cherish Roger's memories are his loving wife and companion of 48 years, Sarah Whitt; sons, Art Pettry and wife Connie, and Roger Pettry and girlfriend Lynn Pettry Mortimer; sister, Maggie Hamilton; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mr. Whitt will be held on a later date.
