Roger Dale Stone, 52, of Bessemer City, passed away on March 8, 2021, at his home.

He was born January 18, 1969, in Gaston County, son of the late Jack Stone and Barbara Layel Stone.

Roger loved his family deeply and enjoyed spending time with them.

He enjoyed racing and going fishing.

A memorial service will be held 3:00pm Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Leroy Summey.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Roger is survived his loving wife of 32 years Janet Gibby Stone;  his daughter, Angel Heath, and husband Chris; brother, Tim Stone; sister, Tammy Faye Messer; grandchildren, Amber Broyles, Matthew Pilkington, Blayton Heath; great-grandchild, Alayna Broyles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Faye Yates.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Gaston Hospice, P.O. Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
