Roger Dale Smith

Roger Dale Smith, 46, of Gastonia, passed away on February 25, 2016, at his home.

He was born October 30, 1969, in Gaston County, son of James Lee Smith and Carol R. Fields.

Roger was a beloved Papaw, Daddy, Son, Brother and Fiancé. He was a hardworking and dedicated provider for his family.

A celebration of Roger's life  will be held  2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2016, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Timothy Barnes.

The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be private.

In addition to his parents he is survived by fiancée, Cindy Bradley; sons, Jonathan Dale Smith, Cory Lee Smith, Nathan Alan Smith, Noah Alex Smith; daughter, Chelsea S. Hayes and husband, Kevin; brothers, Michael and James Smith ,Shawn Parton; sister, Misty Mancilla;  granddaughter, Emma Hayes.

He was preceded in death by brother, Scott Smith.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
