Roger Dale Mathis

Roger Dale Mathis, 67, Dallas, NC, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 13, 1955, son of the late Charles Alvin Mathis and Mary Buchanan Mathis.

Roger loved spending time in the mountains.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Mathis; and sister, Debbie Crump.

Roger is survived by his sons, Marvin Mathis (Maria), and Shawn Mathis (Lisanne); fiancé, Ollie "Tootsie" Bennett, her son, Michael Green, and her nephew, Fred Green; grandchildren, Megan, Zach, and Ashton Mathis; and 6 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 6pm, Thursday, December 15, 2022, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

Family will receive friends after the service, at the funeral home.

Burial will be private.
