Roger Lunsford

Roger Ellis Lunsford, 68, of Mount Holly, passed away May 14, 2012, at his home. He was born April 12, 1944 in Gaston County, son of the late Aubrey Harold and Mary Adams Lunsford. He was a member of Riverwood Worship Center, Gastonia. He was a US Navy Veteran. A memorial service will be held 3:30 pm on Sunday at Riverwood Family Worship Center, Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Danny Hoell. The family will receive friends 3:00 -3:30 pm prior to the service on Sunday at the church. Interment is private. He is survived by: his wife of 47 years, Carol Wray Lunsford of the home; sons, Roger Keith Lunsford of Augusta,GA, Todd Ellis Lunsford of Gastonia; daughter, Lisa Lunsford Brienza and husband, Dan of Charlotte; brother, Charles Lunsford of Gastonia, Gene Lunsford of Cleveland, OH; mother in-law, Delsie Wray; grandchildren, Kristen, Maxon, Sofia, Lola, Grayson; great grandchild, Ayden. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: brothers, James, Russell and Harold Lunsford; sisters, Eunice Teal, Sara Shannon; father in-law, James C. Wray.
