Roger Dale Bailes

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Roger Dale Bailes, 71, of Kings Mountain, NC on February 27, 2025.

Roger was born December 20, 1953, to the late Sara Rebecca Bailes (Nanny/Beck).

In addition to his much beloved mother, Roger was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tom and Mary Bailes and his first-born niece, Kristie Bailes.

He was an extremely hardworking, caring, and loving husband, father, son, and brother who always put others before himself. He would give the shirt off his back for someone in need but refused anyone making a fuss over him. He was an easy-going man who enjoyed the simple things in life and everything he did, he did with love and kindness.

Roger is survived by his wife of almost 46 years, Renee Bailes; son, Roger Bailes II; brother, Dean Bailes and wife Beth; brother, Tommy Hamrick; nephew, Jason Bailes and wife Shinelle and family; nephew, Ian Goforth and family; and an expansive extended family, all of whom were much loved.

He will be forever missed and to honor the joy it brought him throughout his life to bring family together for a cookout and show his love that way, there will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
