It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of Roger Dale Anderson, a beloved NASCAR fan and BBQ enthusiast. Born on November 30, 1952, in Vallejo, California, Roger sadly left us on November 3, 2024, at the age of 71.
Roger pursued a career as a long-haul truck driver, showcasing a strong work ethic throughout his life. His passion for watching racing and grilling was infectious, bringing joy to those around him. In his early youth, he was a musician. He played the guitar and sang in a Country Western band with his sisters, named Cherry Pie and The Anderson Five. They toured allover the United States and Canada. He loved to listen to country music anytime he was able.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Amanda Desrosiers and her husband Micheal; nieces and nephews, Dee Ann Parr, Chris Parr, Brittany Anderson, and Brian Anderson. Roger's memory will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew him.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, W.D. and Jo Ann Anderson; sisters, Sandra Anderson, Deborah Anderson, Linda Anderson, and Brenda Anderson.
Funeral services and ceremonies to celebrate Roger's life will be private.
Roger's kindness and jovial spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
