Rodney D. Wilson

Rodney D. Wilson, 55, of Gastonia, passed away January 18, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born September 25, 1959, native of Gaston County, the son of the late Theodore and Rita Sue Wilson. Rodney was a loving and devoted husband, father and Paw-Paw to his grandchildren. He was a member of NC Wildlife Club, and an avid fisherman. He also served on the Board of the Ranlo Fire Department. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Kathy "Kat" Wilson; sons, Shannon Dale Wilson, Timothy Shawn Wilson and Joshua Michael Wilson and wife, Christina; grandchildren, Delia, Sianna, Peyton, Camryn, Rylan, Holden, Landon and his beloved dog, Abigail. A service of remembrance will be held 2:00 pm on Thursday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Mike Wilson. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
