Rockland "Rocky" Thomasson
August 10, 1961 — February 28, 2017
Rockland "Rocky" Thomasson, 55, of Gastonia, passed away February 28, 2017 at his residence.
He was born August 10, 1961 in Swain County, the son of the late James Denny Thomasson and Minnie Grace Treadway Howell.
Left to cherish his memories are his sisters Sherry Bryson and husband Charles, Laura Jane Justice, Debra Lynn Thomasson and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Anita Thomasson; brothers David Thomasson and Herman Odell Thomasson.
A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Jerry Millwood, will be held 4 pm Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice – PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
