Roberta May Harley

Roberta May Harley, a beloved mother, friend, and nature enthusiast, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on May 20, 1940, in South Bend, Indiana, Bobbi spent many years sharing her vibrant spirit with those around her. She lived in many interesting places, most notably California and Australia, eventually making her home in Gastonia, North Carolina to be near her family.

Bobbi was a cherished mother to her daughter, Christine Fogarty. She will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren Abby and Shane and son-in-law David, and her dear friend of over 60 years, Sylvia.

Bobbi worked as an Administrative Assistant in the telecommunications industry, where her dedication and kindness shone through. She had a passion for traveling and an abiding love for reading, animals, and the great outdoors. Her adventurous spirit, sense of humor and warm heart touched the lives of everyone she met.

Bobbi was preceded in death by her parents, James Harley and Laura Maynor. The family will hold private services honoring her wishes. and extends heartfelt thanks to Brookdale Assisted Living of Gastonia, Carolina Caring Hospice, and the Robin Johnson House for their exceptional care, compassion, and support during her final days.
