Robert Kenneth Rowland

Robert Kenneth Rowland, known to his friends and family as "Bobby", age 69 of Gastonia, North Carolina passed away on Saturday February 19th, 2022, surrounded by his family and friends.

Bobby was a family man blessed with 43 years of marriage to his wife Jo. He was the best father to his two sons and the most amazing "Pop" to his 5 grandchildren. Bobby loved anything outdoors, especially hiking, camping, gardening and the beach. He enjoyed working puzzles, chasing his grandchildren, and spending time with his family and friends. He was simply one of the good ones and he will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Glenola Rowland of Gastonia, NC and by his brother John Rowland Jr. of Gastonia, NC. He is survived by his wife Myra "Jo" Rowland and his two sons: Kenneth and Brittany Rowland of Waxhaw, NC, and David and Amy Rowland of Stanley, NC; His grandchildren: Lily, Emma Kate, Katie Paige, Elizabeth, and William; His sister Gerry Murphy of Mt. Holly, NC, and his brother Larry and Lavonda Rowland of Mt. Holly, NC; along with numerous special nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A receiving of friends will be held Saturday, February 26 ^th , 2022, from 1-3pm at the family home of Bobby and Jo.
