Rev. Robert Rose

Rev. Robert Taylor Rose, 78, of Gastonia, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, May 28, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on March 7, 1943, in Waynesville, NC, to the late Henry Taylor and Ruby Hannah Rose.

Robert was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Gastonia. He was a good husband and father. Robert loved the Lord and his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Doyle Rose; and brothers-in-law, Ronnie Hooper, and Kenneth McCaskill.

Left to cherish Robert's memories are his wife, Kay Rose; son, Kevin Rose; daughter, Lisa Rose; sisters, Sara Hooper, and Emma McCaskill; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Rev. Rose, officiated by Pastor Mike Wilson and Pastor James Messer, Jr., will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour prior to the service.

Interment to follow the funeral service at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice – PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC, 28054.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium.
