Robert W. Rogers

Robert W. Rogers, 74, of Gastonia passed away on September 4, 2014 after a year-long battle with cancer. He was born November 25, 1939 in Homeland, Georgia, son of the late, William and Leeta Rogers. Robert served 22 ½ years in the US Army with two deployments to Vietnam. Survivors include his wife Linda of the home; son Major L. Rogers and wife, Jill; grandson Robert T. Rogers and three great-grandsons. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Rogers and sister, Geleeta R. Shepard. All services are private. Arrangements are being handled by Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and all other medical personnel who helped care for Robert during his final months.
