Robert "Bob" Louis Costner

Robert "Bob" Louis Costner of 754 Stanley Spencer Mtn. Rd. passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 20, 2016.  Bob was being visited and comforted by family members at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, NC at the time of his passing.  Bob was 86 years old.  Bob Costner was born in Hardin, NC.  He was the son of the late Effie Costner and the widower of the late Hazeline Stines Costner.  Bob was the owner & operator of Costner & Sons Garage in Stanley, NC.

The funeral will be held 2 pm Monday at Maranatha Baptist Church, 104 Downey Lake Road, Dallas, NC 28034 with Pastor Chris Doster officiating.

Burial will be at Hardin Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6 – 8 pm Sunday at the church and other times in the fellowship hall.

Bob is survived by his two daughters Marie Costner Arnold and husband Todd, Vickie Costner Holt and husband Carl; daughter-in-law Barbara Costner Roberts and husband Ben; grandsons Lewis Costner II, Dewey Costner, Robert Holt, Charles Russell, Michael Coleman and Phillip Reep II; granddaughters Connie Costner, Nicole Holt, Hazel Sainz, Christy Bates, Marcie Davis and Bella Arnold; 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Louis Ray Costner and 13 brothers and sisters.
